Recent Journal Entries 2012 A New Year and New Focus Its 2012 and so many wonderful opportunities are in store for this new year! Tara and I have been diligently working on a few projects trying, like you, to simplify life! In the meantime, running is still our main theme and like so many weekends, this first weekend of the year is filled with running! The New Years Resolution Run was in full swing on January 1, 2012, as many families came out to celebrate the new year with a 1 Mile, 5k or the always fun 10k. Tara and our friends Rich and Katherine all ran together in the 10k. They were not competing, but finished in about 71 minutes. Sunday, January 01, 2012 | category: running Boston Bound in 2012 It's official... Tara will be running Boston in 2012! We had a feeling that she was in, but this week we found the confirmation in the mail from the Boston Athletic Association. Not only are we excited to be at the race, we have a few perks with this year's race. First, we will be going to Fenway to attend a Red Sox game in a stadium that is celebrating its 100th year. Secondly, we will be with our friends from the Atlanta Track Club and dear friend Jimmy Slick! More to come as we get closer! Friday, October 07, 2011 | category: running The Apple of our eye It's the first day of the Autumn and we decided to run to our favorite fall places. This time, we took mom so she could enjoy some Apples and Pumpkins, and get into the Fall Season. Tara and I have gone up to the North Georgia mountains annually for past 10 or so years, so it came as a surprise that mom had never picked apples or visited the pumpkin patch. The drive was a fun and uneventful one, as we made it to our destination in less than an hour.
